# Mubert Cast MCP

## Connect

Add the URL and nothing else. On first use your client opens a browser page: sign in to Cast and
approve the connection. Cast creates a token for this client (spending credits stays off unless
you tick it); revoke it any time in Cast → Settings → API & MCP.

For a backend, CI, or a client that cannot open a browser, create a token in Settings → API & MCP
and send it as a header instead:

## Before spending anything

Paid steps — First Pass run/apply, generating a music track — return a **quote** first
(`quote_id`, price, balance after) and only spend when called again with that `quote_id`.
Ask the user before confirming. Plan walls come back as a link to finish in the Cast editor.

On the free plan an agent gets half of the app's upload minutes, projects, storage and credits;
transcripts, analysis, First Pass previews, cut planning, curated music and building a project are
free; enhance is a 60-second preview; 3 exports a month.

## Skill

The tools carry the rules; the `cast-mcp` skill carries the strategy — the order of calls that keeps
a session cheap and when to ask before spending. It is published with the other Mubert skills:
